Why the decision is still open
Toothbrushes are fundamentally consumable: bristles deform and must be replaced every 3–4 months. This is material wear, not engineered obsolescence; best choice is simple, widely available soft-bristle brush.
What prevents a clear pick
- Electric brushes clean well but add battery/motor failure modes and higher lifecycle cost; premium manual brushes do not extend bristle lifespan.
